Membership Benefits & Structure

 What are my membership benefits?

Tinhorn Creek Wine Club members enjoy a range of exclusive benefits, including preferred pricing, complimentary tastings, priority access to new releases and events, and invitations to member-only experiences. Specific perks vary by tier, ensuring each membership is tailored to how you enjoy our wines and estate.

How much does a wine club membership cost?

The Tinhorn Creek Wine Club does not have a membership fee. The cost of membership is simply the cost of the products in each seasonal club order.

What is my purchase commitment and minimum term?

Your commitment depends on the club tier you select.

Membership requires a minimum of one year, which equals the number of seasonal shipments for your tier:

Traditional: two shipments per year (April and October)
Heritage: three shipments per year (April, July, October)
Reserve: four shipments per year (January, April, July, October)

After completing your first full year of shipments, you may continue, pause, or cancel your membership.

While purchases made outside of club season months are eligible for your club member discount, they do not count towards your annual purchase commitment.

What if I used to be in the Red or White Case Club?

If you were originally part of the Red or White Case Club, you were previously receiving a full case of 12 wines once per year, in the Spring for the White Case Club and in the Fall for the Red Case Club. You have now been moved into the Traditional Club, which by default receives two 6-bottle shipments instead of one 12-bottle shipment.

We can still accommodate your one full case shipment per year, as long as you contact us to let us know your preference.

Can I customize the wines my shipment?

Yes. While seasonal club orders are by default a 6-bottle mixed selection of new releases and popular sellers, all are fully customizable and can be changed or added to through our user-friendly online member portal or by contacting us directly via email or phone. All members are sent a release email at the beginning of each wine club month, which includes instructions on how to customize their selections as well as the deadline by which all customizations must be submitted.

Can I skip a shipment or pause my membership?

Yes. Members can skip up to one shipment per year, upon approval from our wine club team. Memberships can be placed on hold for up to 6 months, at which point shipments will automatically resume, unless the member has contacted us to cancel.

Account Management

How can I view my membership information?

You can log into your club member profile by clicking on “Log In” in the top right corner of all pages of our website. If this is your first time logging in and you haven’t yet created a password, simply enter the email address associated with your account and click “Forgot your password?” and you will be emailed a link to set one up. Once you have created your password and logged in, you can view your account details by clicking on your name, which will now appear in the top right corner, where it previously showed “Log In”.

I’ve been a member for many years. Why does my profile say that I joined in 2025?

Since Tinhorn has one of the longest-standing wine clubs in the area, over the past several years it became clear that there were updates needed.  During our 2025 season we did some subtle restructuring in order to better meet the needs and preferences of both current and future members, as well as simplify some of our back-end processes. All existing members were cancelled from their original club and moved into one of our three new membership tiers. While it shows the start of the new membership as your sign-up date, rest assured that your status and longevity as a customer remain the same.

Does membership require a credit card?

Yes. All members are required to have a credit card on file for their seasonal shipments to be billed to.

How do I cancel my membership?

Club memberships can be cancelled by contacting our wine club team via email or phone, once the first annual commitment has been fulfilled.

Shipping, Pickups, Delivery

Can I pick up my wine club orders?

Yes. We encourage all members to visit us here at the estate and pick their orders up in person whenever possible, taking advantage of an opportunity to taste while they are here. Members are given a deadline of the end of the following month to pick up their orders (IE: if the club release is at the beginning of October, pick up orders will be held until the end of November).

Is shipping complimentary?

Your standard 6-bottle club shipment is subject to flat rate shipping. We offer complimentary shipping Canada-wide on all orders of 12+ bottles, so many members choose to top their order up to a full case.

Flat-Rate Shipping Fees:

Within BC $28 | Prairies (AB, SK, MB) $35 | East (ON & QC) $45 | Maritimes $50 | North (YT, NT, NU) $60

Are there extra fees if my order is shipped to Alberta?

Yes. For orders being shipped directly to consumers in Alberta, we are legally required by the Alberta government to charge a volume-based administration fee. This fee works out to $3.08 per bottle and is remitted directly to the AGLC. For a 6-bottle order, it comes to $18.50 and for a 12-bottle order it is $36.99. This can be avoided by either picking your orders up at the estate or having them shipped to an address outside of Alberta, but they will then be subject to PST for either BC or whichever province it is being shipped to.

Does someone need to be home to receive my shipment?

Yes. Since the shipment contains alcohol, someone of legal drinking age must be present to sign for your delivery.

What if I am away at the time of my shipment?

If you are away from home and unable to accept your shipment, please contact us prior to processing and we will make arrangements to delay shipping until you have returned. You may also provide us an alternate address to ship to, if that is your preference.

Please note that if we are not informed of address changes prior to fulfillment and have to redirect the package while in-transit, you may be required to pay redirect shipping costs.

Can I have my shipment sent to a business address?

Yes. Members are strongly encouraged to have their orders sent to a place of business whenever possible, as there is always someone present to accept the package, thereby mitigating the risk of a missed delivery.
