Cabernet Franc 2024

Tasting Notes

Fragrant aromas of ripe red currant, blackberry, and violet open the wine with freshness and finesse. On the palate, layers of juicy raspberry, dark cherry, and subtle graphite are complemented by hints of cracked pepper and gentle herbal spice, creating a refined yet expressive profile. The finish is smooth and persistent, marked by bright acidity, fine tannins, and elegant balance. This wine has cellaring potential of 5 to 7 years.

Vintage Notes

The 2024 growing season in Washington State was marked by a warm, dry spring that encouraged early bud break and uniform flowering across vineyards. Summer brought consistent warmth with minimal heat spikes, allowing for steady grape development and balanced ripening. Irrigation was key throughout the dry months, helping maintain vine health. The absence of major weather extremes, such as late frosts or excessive heat, contributed to an overall smooth growing season. As harvest approached, cooler nights helped preserve acidity, promising a crop with excellent concentration, ripe flavours, and vibrant balance.
