Tasting Notes
On the nose, this wine opens with expressive aromas of dark raspberry, red plum, and a subtle note of molasses and vanilla. The palate is fruit forward with notes of red currant, cherry, and a lingering note of fresh cut cedar and white pepper. This wine is well-balanced and elegantly structured, with round tannins and a long finish.
Vintage Notes
The 2022 vintage began with a brisk, damp spring, heralding one of the Okanagan Valley’s coolest years in two decades. Summer followed with typical temperatures and rainfall. This combination led to an exceptionally late harvest, a rare event for the region. The resulting fruit boasted heightened acidity and vibrant, fresh flavours.
