As one of the pioneers in British Columbia making a varietal Cabernet Franc since 1996, Tinhorn Creek felt it was long overdue to make a reserve-style, Oldfield Series Cabernet Franc. Our estate vines are now between the ages of 15-17 years old and the depth of character we are getting from them is amazing. It is one of the best suited varieties in the South Okanagan for all kinds of vintages—it comes through tough winters generally unscathed and although a late season ripening grapes it consistently produces a wine high in complexity and character. We have built of a following for this wine over the years and hope that the addition of an even more intense estate Cabernet Franc will please our loyal “Franc-o-philes”.
