When is my wedding date secured?

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date. This may be paid by credit card, cheque or cash. The venue space is held at the time the deposit is received.

How far in advance will you book weddings?

As long as there are no other conflicting events, we are able to book weddings far in advance.

How many guests can you accommodate?

The grand amphitheater overlooking vineyards and orchards can accommodate up to 500 guests, and Miradoro can accommodate up to 110 guests.

Am I able to just have my ceremony at Tinhorn Creek?

The grounds of Tinhorn Creek Vineyards may only be used exclusively with a commitment to one of our wedding packages.

Do I have to use Miradoro Restaurant for my reception?

Within our three packages, Miradoro will provide the food and the service for your wedding event. We are committed to working closely with you until you are happy with the details regarding your wedding event.

What kind of food is served for receptions?

With Mediterranean influence, Miradoro pays homage to our local fields, forests and ocean with emphasis on seasonal products and a commitment to sustainable practice. I have my own wedding planner; do I have to use yours?

What are the additional costs for decor, setup and rentals? Does that depend on what kind of decor we want?

Miradoro will provide and set up all linens and tableware for your wedding event. Decorations, rentals and specialty items can be arranged with our wedding coordinator.

Do you provide music?

Miradoro is pleased to provide background dinner music via our state of the art in house audio system, however if you have chosen music you would like to be played during your wedding we will happily to play it through our system. Please note our control four sound system accepts only iPod or iPhone devices.

Is live music or a DJ permissible; either in the amphitheater or in the restaurant?

Yes, both live music and a DJ are permissible in both the restaurant and amphitheater.

How late can my wedding go until?

Guests must vacate the amphitheater no later than 10 pm. However, the liquor license in the restaurant extends until midnight.

Is wine the only alcohol you are able to serve?

We are able to serve wine, craft beer, and spirits made in British Columbia at your reception. B.C. Beer & B.C. Spirits may only be served inside Miradoro Restaurant.

Can I supply my own wine, beer, or spirits for the reception?

Miradoro will supply the wine, beer and spirits for your wedding event. With our wedding package options, Tinhorn Creek wine is the only wine that would be available with the exception of BC made sparkling wine.

Is it possible to have a cash bar?

Of course! We could make many different arrangements for your bar service. You may want to pay for the entire evening or simply offer a host bar for cocktails and wine service during dinner, and a cash bar afterwards. Many different combinations are possible and our wedding coordinator can help you plan the details.

Do you provide tents in case of poor weather?

Our wedding coordinator would be happy to arrange tent rentals if required.

Do I have to have my ceremony in the amphitheatre or are there other locations on the property?

The grand amphitheater looking over the South Okanagan would be the location where your wedding ceremony would take place.

Where would we have dancing after our meal?

Depending on the size of your wedding, we may be able to leave a dance floor area clear in your room for dancing, or we can remove one or two tables to create a dance floor after your meal.

In what areas are we allowed to take pictures?

You may take photos in areas that are accessible to visitors at the winery. The demonstration vineyard will be available for private photos between 5PM – 6PM only. Photos may only happen in areas that are accessible to visitors of the winery. The Barrel Cellar and Wine Cellar and Tasting Room will not be available for photo shoots, with the exception of our Elite package.

Am I able to just have my weddings photos at Tinhorn Creek?

Yes you can have only your wedding photos at Tinhorn Creek provided they do not conflict with anything else happening that day. Please contact Tinhorn Creek in advance to arrange at time and for more details. We request that you keep your group to your wedding party only as we will still be open for vistors. Photos may be taken anywhere that vistors can access; the barrel cellar is not available.

Where will I park, and will my guests have to pay for parking?

Tinhorn Creek has a parking area free of charge that will be directed by a parking attendant the day of your wedding event.

What about shuttling guests from their accommodations?

We have many great shuttle companies that we work closely with that have a range of services that can cater to your needs. Our wedding coordinator would be happy to make arrangements or put you in contact with a transportation company.
