2023 Innovation Series | Cabernet Franc | Crafted in Barrel

Tasting Notes

Bright red currant, black cherry, and plum aromatics mingle with dried sage, graphite, and a touch of vanilla-spice. The palate echoes with red and black fruit flavours, framed by fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity that carry through to a long, textured finish.

Vintage Notes

The 2023 growing season in the Okanagan Valley unfolded against the backdrop of a distinctive year defined by early bud break and favourable spring conditions. The mild temperatures at the start of the season encouraged uniform shoot growth and healthy canopy development across the vineyards. As summer progressed, the region experienced a warm and dry stretch that proved ideal for grape maturation. Consistent sunshine and moderate to warm daytime temperatures allowed for steady ripening, while cooler nights helped retain natural acidity.
