Chardonnay: The cool season and moderate crop load promised a great vintage for Chardonnay, the low rainfall and long ripening period for 2011 ensured small intense berries with great acid balance -Sauvignon Blanc: This may have been one of the best vintages for Sauvignon Blanc in the Okanagan, the cool conditions combined with some leaf removal, provided just the right amount of sunlight to enhance the Sauvignon Blanc varietal characteristics -Semillon: Low crop was the key to this varietal in 2011. Early bunch thinning enabled this varietal to ripen nicely enhanced by the extended fall. -Viognier: Similar to the 2010 vintage, we worked hard in the vineyard to help along the Viognier. Extended ripening in the fall helped this varietal achieve full stone fruit ripeness. -Muscat: Great result; this is a huge aromatic white. With the vintage being as cool as it was the Muscat produced highly characteristic flavors without to much vineyard interference.
